Chief of the United Nations Mission In Nepal (UNMIN) Ian Martin has expressed disappointment over the slow pace of ongoing peace process. In the meet with Secretary General of CPN-UML Madhav Kumar Nepal today, the UNMIN Chief also sought UML's opinion on UNMIN's role in Constituent Assembly (CA) elections.

UML stalwart Nepal is learnt to have told Martin that the UML was agreed to the six month extension of UNMIN's term in Nepal. However, he said seven parties were due to reach a common conclusion to this end.

UML Politburo member Jhalanath Khanal who was also present in the meeting said the duo also discussed on the verification of Maoist PLA combatants and integration of Maoist combatants into the Nepal Army.
