Life in terai turns vulnerable due to banda

The indefinite strike (banda) called by the United Madhesi Democratic Forum (UMDF) has adversely affected normal life in various terai districts.
 
Local administrations in various districts have clamped curfew to normalize the violent protests. 
 
The curfew that was clamped in Nepalgunj from Sunday 2 pm until indefinite period was put-off from 5-8 am today morning and again it resumed.   
 
There is drugs shortage in Nepalgunj due to continuous banda that has now stepped in seventh day. Meanwhile, security officials from Mid-western division have rushed to Nepalgunj to discuss the management of security system in the district.
 
The curfew clamped in Bara, Parsa, Mahottari and Janakpur to control the situation has been put-off. Security has been beefed up in those districts following clashes with the demonstrators on Sunday.
 
The indefinite banda called by Tamangsaling State Council has affected normal life in Kavre, Ramechhap, Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk among few other districts.
 
Educational institutions, local markets and vehicular movement have completely come to halt due to banda. Council has demanded for immediate declaration of 'republic' in the country.
