14th CAN InfoTech, the biggest annual Information Communication Technology (ICT) fair kicked off from Tuesday in Kathmandu. The ICT trade show convened by Computer Association of Nepal (CAN) will expose the latest technology entered in Nepali ICT market.
The fair aims to create awareness about ICT applications, promote ICT and acclimatize Nepali IT professionals and enthusiasts with the evolving breakthroughs in global IT realm.
According to fair convener, the six-day long annual mega ICT fair will have 279 stalls with participation from national and international leading ICT related companies. The event is expected to bring more than 3,50,000 visitors at fair venue. Similarly, more than 500 participants will gather at ICT Conference 2008 that is being held on the sideline of the main event from.
Computer related importers, exporters, telecom operators, IT colleges and universities, IT Institutions, network integrators, internet service providers, network service providers, system integrators, and mobile phone accessories will be exhibiting their respective products and service in the fair.
Similarly, the event will see the participation of international visitors, trade delegation and ICT related commissioner, engineers, MIS managers and consultants, government policy makers in ICT sector, ICT related personnel of all the telecom operators, ISPs and NSPs, technical and managerial personnel of banks and other financial sectors, personnel from NGOs and INGOs, faculty members and relevant staffs of ICT related education institutes, general public and IT students.
The fair organized at Birendra International Conference Center (BICC) will conclude on February 3. CAN has been organizing this event for last 13 years.
