Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' Sunday evening administered the oath of office and secrecy to fifteen new ministers amidst a function organized at Presidential building 'Sital Niwas' Kathmandu.

The fifteen new ministers, who took oath in presence of President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav, are: six from CPN (M), six from CPN (UML) and one each from Janamorcha Nepal, CPN (United) and Sadbhawana Party.

Reports said that the CPN (Marxist Leninist), which earlier had decided to join the government, opted out after it was denied its chosen portfolio - land reform.

The six CPN-M ministers inducted on Sunday are: Pampha Bhusal (general administration), Hisila Yami (tourism and civil aviation), Matrika Yadav (land reform), Gopal Kiranti (culture and state reconstruction) Janardan Sharma (peace and reconstruction) and Lekhraj Bhatta (labour and transport).

Similarly, CPN-UML in new cabinet includes Bam Dev Gautam (deputy prime minister and home minister), Bishnu Poudel (water resources), Astha Laxmi Shakya (industry), Ram Chandra Jha (local development), Kiran Gurung (forest and soil conservation) and Gopal Shakya (youth and sports).

Likewise, Giriraj Mani Pokharel of Janamorcha Nepal has been appointed as minister for health and population, CPN (United)'s Ganesh Sah as minister for science and technology and Sadbhawana Party chairman Rajendra Mahato is minister for commerce and supplies.

PM 'Prachanda' had administered oath of office and secrecy to eight ministers – four each from CPN-M and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF) - on August 22.

Earlier, the cabinet meeting held Sunday afternoon had decided to form three new ministries under the name of Commerce and Supplies, Youth and Sports, and Culture and State Reformation.

Similarly, the cabinet has also decided to change the name of Ministry of Law and Parliamentary Affairs to the Law and Constituent Assembly.
