16 dead bodies of Yarshagumba hunters recovered in Dolpa

Rescuer team of Nepal Army (NA) has recovered 16 dead bodies of Yarshagumba hunters who had gone missing after the blizzard in Kaigaun, Dolpa on Tuesday.

The dead bodies of the herb hunters were buried under snowstorm at Tyanftange Lekh of Dolpa district.

According to a press release issued by the NA’s directorate of public relation (DPR), rescuers found 16 bodies during a search and rescue mission Friday morning.

According to DPR Chief Brigadier General Ramindra Chettri, arrangements are being made to air lift the bodies to the district headquarters, Dunai.

On Thursday, 30 of the 1000 herb hunters who went missing since Saturday came into contact with the members of the rescue team.
