India has provided supports equivalent to Rs. 1.12 billion for ongoing peace process in Nepal. This support will be made through four phases.
India announced the support in forms of 1000 vehicles, 2500 communications accessories, 7000 metric ton foodstuff, 2000 high quality tents and 20 diesel generators.
Indian Ambassador to Nepal Shiva Shanker Mukherjee handed over the assistance to Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula and Head of the United Nations Missions to Nepal (UNMIN) Ian Martin amidst a program organized by Indian Embassy on Friday.
Similarly, it was also informed that 200 vehicles and 2000 tents of the assistance had already been brought into Nepal.
Meanwhile, UNMIN head Martin at press conference on the same day said that he formally accepted the delivery of vehicles from Ambassador Mukherjee.
