Maoist allows pass the budget

 Unified CPN (Maoist) has agreed to let run parliamentary business to without its participation. Maoist has taken three day break from disruption of parliament to allow pass the budget.

Maoist's center meeting held on Saturday took decision to boycott the parliament meeting over disrupting it to allow passage of annual budget.

Parliament meeting is scheduled for Nov 23, 24 and 25. At the same time, Maoist has unveiled the third phase of its protest programme aimed at forcing the government to address its demand for 'civilian supremacy'.

The Maoist lawmakers have been disrupting House proceedings since Aug 6, demanding parliamentary debate on President Dr. Ram Baran Yadav's move reinstating the then Army Chief Rookmangud Katawal.

“Despite the government's apathy towards our demands, we have decided to let the government pass the budget. Taking into account our responsibility towards general public, bureaucrats and personnel of security agencies, we have decided to let the House resume for three days,” said Maoist Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal after the meeting.

Meanwhile, Nepali Congress president and ex prime minister Girija Prasad Koirala on Sunday returned home from Singapore after medical treatment. On his abruptly planned trip to Singapore, Maoist chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda had held discussions with Koirala on solving existing political deadlock.
