PLA wants to be deployed at construction works
Combatants of the People's Liberation Army of the CPN-Maoist cantoned in Shaktikhor camp of Chitawan have wanted themselves be deployed development works.
They have demanded that that the government and their party (CPN-Maoist) should make arrangements for deploying them in such works. The combatants also urged to make a plan to utilize their times for constructive works.
A report quoted Abiral, spokesperson of the third division of PLA at Shaktikhor as saying that they requested their chief division commander to communicate the demands to the party chairman.
He also said that after laying down arms, all the combatants were interested to do some development work outside the cantonment adding that some six thousand combatants wanted to use their skill and capacity for such purposes.
"As we are spending our leisure time uselessly, we urge the concerned authorities to mobilize us for study and constructive works," the report quoted Bimal, platoon commander of Basu Memorial Brigade as saying.
