The second phase verification of the Maoist people's liberation army personnel and arms will start from PLA's first division cantonment in Ilam's Chulachuli on Friday, a Maoist commander said.
The verification process, slated to start Thursday, has been delayed due to technical reasons, commander at the cantonment Parwana said.
According to him, forty officials of the United Nations Mission in Nepal (UNMIN) arrived at Chulachuli on Wednesday.
As the arrival of the UNMIN team was delayed, the verification process will now begin from Friday only, he added.
The officials are a part of the 120-member team that will conduct phase II of the PLA verification.
Deputy commander of the CPN (Maoist) Nanda Kishore Pun "Pasang" and Chandra Prasad Khanal "Baldev" will also participate in the verification process. Baldev arrived at Chulachuli on Wednesday evening.
