Without getting fully bounced back, the capital city has observed the repetition of petrol shortage. The private petrol pumps have been padlocked with 'No petrol' signs on Tuesday while long queues are seen in few pumps.
Ruling out the possibility of petrol distribution on Tuesday, one of the staffs of Sajha (coperative) petrol pump at Pulchok said that no petrol was supplied in the pump Tuesday. Despite the no fuel notice, long queues of motorbikes were seen hoping to get fueled.
Nepal Oil Corporation said fuel petrol scarcity was seen due to the extensive demands of the consumers stating that huge number of consumers was stocking petrol to be safe from potential scarcity.
According NOC, it distributed nearly 3 hundred thousands liters of petrol on Sunday. NOC officials say the scarcity was caused by frequent disturbances like strike, Banda and protest even after Terai unrest came to a halt.
