Four Nepalese and an Afghan were killed when a roadside bomb hit a United Nations vehicle in southern Kandahar of Afghanstan on Tuesday.
According to AP news agency, the victims were traveling in a U.N. convoy of at least three vehicles through Kandahar city when the blast occured.
The United Nations has confirmed that four Nepalese contractors and an Afghan driver working for the United Nations Office for Projects Services died in the attack.
"Intentional attacks on civilians are a clear violation of international humanitarian law and the U.N. will be pursuing full accountability for those who are behind this," the U.N. said in a statement released in the capital, Kabul.
Identity of the Nepalis killed in the blast is yet to be disclosed.
