Snowfall sparks air service halt in hilly districts

Air service has been obstructed in the districts of mid and far west Nepal due to snowfall and bad climate.

According to Nepalgunj Airport, no flights have taken off to Chaurjhahari of Rukum, Simikot of Humla , Mugu, Jumla and Kalikot districts. The flight has been halted in Nepalgunj-Humla due to thick snowfall in Simikot. According to Simikot Airport Office, one foot thickened snow has covered landing area.

Meanwhile, children  of Dadeldhura district of far western Nepal have been suffering from pneumonia due to escalating low temperature. Dadeldhura District Hospital said some 30 people visit hospital for the treatment of their children suffering from cold.
