Demanding the permanent appointment to the temporary employees working as loaders, workers on Monday have closed down the factory of Asian Paints located in Hetauda industrial area. The workers have stopped the productions of the company.
According to the company management, the closure inflicts a loss of around Rs. 1.5 million per day to the company.
The workers had barred other employees from entering the factory premises to pressurize management for their demand to be fulfilled.
The workers have been demanding that 12 employees, working in loading and unloading be appointed as permanent employees. They have also been asking the management to raise their salaries.
Asian Paints (Nepal) is a multinational company established in the 1980s manufacturers paints of around 10 metric tons per day.
