Accusing Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Girija Prasad Koirala for delaying the process of formation of the next government, the Communist Party of Nepal - Maoists (CPN-M) has pulled out from the interim government.

Seven Maoists ministers have tendered their joint resignation at the seven party alliance (SPA) meeting at PM Koirala's official residence Baluwatar Friday evening.

According to a report, the joint resignation will be formally presented to the PM Koirala on Sunday.

The seven ministers who resigned are Krishna Bahadur Mahara, Minister for Information and Communication, Hisila Yami, Minister for Physical Planning and Works, Pampha Bhusal, Minister for Women, Children and Social Welfare, Dev Gurung, Minister for Local Development, Matrika Yadav, Minister for Forest and Soil Conservation, Padam Rai, Minister of State for Physical Planning and Works, and Nabin B.K., Minister of State for Local Development.

In fact, the seven ministers had already tendered the joint resignation to their party chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' last week.
