Freed kamaiya and landless squatters' clash with Armed Police Force (APF) has injured 26 persons including 7 police at Sanoshree Tarataal of Bardiya on Wednesday.

The District Administration Office (DAO) of Bardiya has imposed an indefinite curfew from 1:30 pm Wednesday in Tarataal area to take the situation under control.

Reports say, Police resorted to firing in the air after the Young Communist League (YCL), freed kamaiyas and landless squatters pelted stones on them.

The YCL activists, freed kamaiyas and squatters had started demonstrating in the area since Monday evening against the decision of deployment of security forces for border security in the godown of Cotton Development Committee (CDC).
