Nine refugees receive death threat

A newly existed revolutionary outfit calling itself 'Bhutan Cobra Party' has posted pamphlet in Beldangi-I refugee camp in Jhapa district issuing warning to nine refugees, who support the US offer of third country resettlement, to leave camps within ten days. 

According to the pamphlet, former camp secretaries of Beldangi-I camp Ram Chandra Subedi and D.P. Pradhan among seven others have been warned of death threats if they deny leaving camps within 10 days. 

Cobra party has further warned that the situation in camps would be turned to bloodbath if those 'blacklisted' in the pamphlet deny leaving camps along with their family members within the issued ultimatum. 

Communist Party of Bhutan (CPB-MLM), Bhutan Tigers Force, Bhutan Communist Party (Maoist), Bhutan Cobra Party among few other revolutionary outfits is strongly opposing the third country resettlement offer floated by the US. 

An estimated one hundred eight thousands Bhutanese refugees are living in Jhapa and Morang districts of Nepal for the last 17 years.
