Bhutanese refugee leaders have accused that the US offer for third country resettlement has divided refugees in camps.

At an interaction program organized in Birtamode on Saturday, refugee leaders also claimed that conspiracies were underway to make refugees homeless for ever.

Refugee leaders also demanded to halt 'campaign' that has been going on inside camps to apply for third country resettlement. They also stated that there was Nepal's diplomatic failure in resolving the deadlock. They also accused that refugees were trying to become slaves by opting for the option of third country resettlement.

President of Bhutan People's Party Balaram Poudel, General Secretary of People's Forum for Human Rights in Bhutan D.P. Kafle including Dr. Bhampa Rai and Jagirman lama were present on the occasion.

  • image it is a known fact that BPP and other pjarties are troubled that it cant run its reign of terror in the camp in the name of repatriatiion for so long.what disturbs them when exiled refugees opt for third country settlement? We have no leaders but beggars who always make us poor.Following their advice we left Bhutan and till date they dont let us go out from the prison life of camp.Do they have better option than third country? If yes, whats that?Or just to deceive for another 17 years in exile saying one day Bhutan will take us.whats their plan for near future porogram for repatriation lets know. \We doubt they want to take few more life taking upto to the Mechi Bridge. Have they mobilized international community?please dont loot us any more.we want to escape from your hands.
