Bank of Kathmandum (BoK) on Suday has opened its two new branches - one in Gongabu, Kathmandu and the another in Kohalpur, Banke.
Finance Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat had inaugurated the Gongabu branch, while president of Kohalpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Rajendra Kumar Shrestha inaugurated the the new brach of Kohalpur.
Radhesh Pant managing director of BoK, said that the bank will continue to expand its services nationwide and will open new branches to reach rural areas.
Pant said that the bank policies not only focus on big projects but also provide loans to consumer based, small and mid-sized industries.
Pant also informed that in the rural areas where the banking services have not reached, BoK has started to make its presence by aligning with cooperatives and micro finance institutions.
After these two new banches, BoK now has a total of 16 offices and six extension counters in the country.
