Unidentified gang robs BoK branch

An unidentified gang on Sunday morning looted over 8 lakh from cash counter at Bank of Kathmandu (BoK) Sinamangal branch in the capital.

According to reports, the group of four robbers who had come in motorcycles fled with a briefcase containing Rs 855,000 that was brought from the bank's head office. 

The gang attacked bank’s security guard, Dambar Bahadur Basnet, with khukuri when he tried to resist them.

Basnet has sustained injuries in his hand, chest and neck and is undergoing treatment at the nearby Kathmandu Medical College.
