Govt. preparing the budget of Rs 159.325 billion

The government is preparing the budget totaling around Rs 159.325 billion for the forthcoming fiscal year 2064/65 (2007/08).

As per the ongoing budget preparations, of the total budget, Rs 90.08 billion will be allocated for administrative expenditure while Rs 69.23 billion will be allocated for capital expenditure including debt servicing.

This will be the budget of the first year of the new three-year interim plan being prepared by the National Planning Commission (NPC).

The Finance Ministry is discussing the proposed budget with other Ministries and Finance Committee of the parliament.
