An unidentified armed group abducted director of Shivshakti Aluminium Industry Binod Agrawal from the industry premise at Chorni VDC in Parsa district on Monday evening.
According to reports, three other persons were also abducted along with Khetan but they were released on the way. The Armed Police Force (APF) have also found the vehicle used in the abduction and the driver in Belwa VDC.
When Agrawal was about to move in his car along with two Indian guests at around 6 in the evening, the armed group had inquired the driver about Agrawal. When the driver pointed out, they whisked the car away towards Belwa VDC, a report quoted Superintendent of Police Kaman Singh Thapa as saying.
Police have taken Khetan's driver Harendra Chaudhary into custody for investigation.
A team of APF has been dispatched from Birgunj to search for Khatan. The border security check posts have been alerted as the gang could take Khetan across the border, said Parsa District Police Office.
