The passengers  who were killed in the bus inferno near Pathalaiya along the East-West highway have not been identified yet.

Police has said that as all the seven bodies have been burnt completely, they were facing problems in the identification.

At least seven people had  been killed and two dozen others injured in the incident. Injured passengers have been taken to Narayani Sub-regional hospital and Bir hospital in Kathmandu. Most of the passengers who sustained minor injuries in the incident have already returned home after minor treatment.

Meanwhile, one John, claiming to be the in-charge of Tarai Army, telephoned journalists saying that a military commander of his group had used nitrogen gas to set fire to the bus.

He added that the action was taken because his group’s three-day bandh call in Bara and Parsa was flouted.

Police has beefed up the security arrangements along the highway today. Police has believed that the bus might have caught fire due to some explosive matter.
