5 killed in bus mishap in Tahahun

At least five people have been killed including 45 others injured when a bus coming from Sisaghat towards district headquarter Damauli overturned and fell into Modi Khola in Syamga Village Development Committee at around 9 am today morning.

Driver including two passengers died at the spot while two died on the way while taken to pokhara for treatment. 

Three of the deceased have been identified as bus driver Gopal Rai, passengers Navaraj Nagila and eight year old Kavita Gurung.

According to district police in Damauli, other injured were undergoing treatment in Damauli Hospital. However, seriously injured five were reported to have been taken to the pokhara for further treatment.

Police informed that the bus registered as Na 2 Kha 5885 overturned 100 m beneath the road in the river.
