Govt. to bring ordinance to sanction culprits

The government  is to bring a strong law to curb and sanction the culprits citing that the incidents of abduction and murder were on rise. A meting of Council of minister held today took the decision to enact law through ordinance.

Earlier, the Supreme Court (SC) had issued an order to enact such law.

The meeting has also extended the deadline of a probe panel formed to look into Kapilvastu incident for two months. The panel had requested the government to extend the deadline for detail study.

The cabinet has also endorsed the agreement in principle reached with indigenous nationalities, Madheshi Janaadhikar Forum (MJF) and Churebhavar Akata Samaj. The meeting also condemned the coup of Pakistani President general Pervez Musarraf.
