Electoral code of conduct goes into effect from today

Electoral Code of Conduct has been put into effect from today. The code of conduct will be applicable both for the governmental and non governmental institutions from.

Election Commission has formed a unit in the chairmanship of Election Commissioner Aayodhi Prasad Yadav, to monitor the effectiveness of the implementation of the code of conduct. Likewise, District Election Offices will monitor the code of conduct.

With the enforcement of the code of conduct, promotion, transformation of governmental officials, and enforcement of new plans except electoral purpose will be considered as the violation of code of conduct.
