The government has decided to provide allowance of three months to the Maoists combatants cantoned in the different camps throughout the country.
As per this decision, the militants will get allowance of up to the mid-March of last year. The militants had received the allowance of only one month though the government had decided to provide them allowance from the month of last November. The government had decided to provide Rs. 3000 per militant as allowance last year.
A meeting of council of ministers held at Singhdarbar on Monday took this decision.
The meeting has also decided to set up a trust of nationalized royal property. To proceed setting up of the trust, Nepal government would enact Nepal Trust Act 2007, minister for Health and Population Giri Raj Mani Pokhrel informed.
Following a recommendation of a government task force led by home minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula, the government has nationalized several royal palaces including Narayanhiti palace. The government has already issued red cards of those palaces in the name of Nepal government.
The cabinet meeting has also decided to provide free medical service in all the health posts and sub-health posts throughout the country, said minister Pokhrel.
The meeting has also underscored the need of the extension of capital market for water resources. As per another decision, MI-16 aircraft ordered by Nepal Army will be used for public purpose.
Similarly, the meeting has also decided to deploy higher numbers of security forces to consolidate security situation in Terai.
