Maoists launch pro-republican drive

The Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) Sunday officially launched its pro-republican drive which, it said, would be enforced through “street, parliament and government.”

According to reports, the Maoists formally announced the commencement of its campaign through all three fronts organizing a press meet in Dhankuta.

During the meeting organized to brief the pressmen regarding the decisions of the Maoist's Koshi Regional Bureau, CPN-M central member and Koshi Regional Bureau in charge Gopal Kiranti informed that the "third people's movement" had begun for a republic Nepal.
