The Communist Party of Nepal-Maoist (CPN-M) is leading in direct polls with 119 seats and in Proportional Representation (PR) system with 21,92,681 votes.
According to the Election Commission (EC), of the total 68,00,017 votes counted till Thursday, the CPN-M has bagged 21,92,681 votes (32.25 percent) under PR system.
Nepali Congress (NC) is in second position with 14,95,535 votes (21.99 percent) in PR results followed by the Unified Marxist Leninist (UML) with 14,32,603 votes (21.07 percent). The NC and CPN-UML have secured 35 and 31 seats in direct polls result respectively.
Similarly, the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (MJF), which has bagged 24 seats from direst polls, is in fourth place with 2,53,239 votes (3.27 percent) and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) is in fifth place with 1,68,963 votes (2.48 percent).
Based on the final PR vote count, the parties will share 335 seats proportionally for Constituent Assembly.
Electing its seven candidates to the Constituent Assembly (CA), the Tarai Madhes Democratic Party (TMDP) is in the fifth position, followed by the Sadbhavana Party-Mahato, which has won three seats so far.
The Nepal Workers' and Peasants' Party (NWPP) and the People's Front Nepal (PFN) have shared seventh position with two seats each. Two independent candidates have also been elected to the CA from Saptari Constituency 5 and Rautahat Constituency 1 so far.
