CPN Maoist has said that the incident of setting ablaze to District Land Reform Office was against the party policy stating that the incident was spontaneous and not systematic.
Issuing a press statement Thursday evening, chairman Prachanda said that the incident was of grave concern and the party would penalize to its members if their involvement would be found in the incident.
In the statement, Prachanda stressed that a political consensus on the republican set up, setting the date of the Constituent Assembly (CA) polls and resolution of disputes regarding land and property, disclosure of the whereabouts of the disappeared, release of the detained individuals and proper management of the Cantonments were the immediate need of the country.
The Maoist cadres had vandalized the land reform office in dang on Wednesday. In the clash between police and demonstrators, at least 10 individuals were injured.
