PM meets with Australian envoy and Indian leader

In the wake of eight party meeting preparations to resolve the political dead lock, the Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has accelerated his meetings with the foreign dignitaries to discuss the latest political developments of Nepal.

Australian ambassador to Nepal Graeme Lade on Thursday met with PM Koirala and discussed the various issues like the latest political development of Nepal, CA polls, Australia’s interest in hydro-power, economic development and industrial development in Nepal.

The Australian envoy also discussed the Bhutanese refugees' resettlement issue with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala and said that the resettlement process will begin from July. The Australian government has expressed its interest to resettle around 5000 Bhutanese refugees put up at different camps in eastern Nepal.

Similarly, visiting Indian communist leader Sita Ram Yechuri held meeting with PM Koirala on Thursday morning and discussed Indian support for Nepal's peace process and holding constituent assembly elections.

In the meeting, Yechuri reiterated that India will accept the decision of Nepalese people and won’t have any objection if Nepal goes to republic by the choice of Nepalese people.
