The meeting of the eight political parties held at Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala's official residence Baluwatar Wednesday evening has expressed written commitment to provide security to the business sector.

The eight party meeting has decided to maintain security restricting any sorts of extortion, terror, property capture, and intimidation and to take strong action to the persons involved in such activities.

Agitating business community had been saying that it would not end the protest until eight political parties would address the demands of the business sector through written commitment.

Earlier, representatives of the business community and the CPN- Maoist held a discussion about the problems of business community. In the discussion, Maoists Chairman Prachanda had expressed his firm commitment to raise the issues of business community in the meeting of the eight political parties.

Following the inconclusive end of the meeting between business community and Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala Wednesday morning, business community had decided to continue its program of agitation.

The representatives of business community had said they would wait eight parties' decision whether or not continue protest further.

The eight party meeting has also expressed condolence to the persons killed in Gaur of Rautahat in the clash between Maoists cadres and activists of Madheshi Janaadhikar Forum (MJF) on Wednesday.

Eight parties have also decided to investigate over the incident.
