Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala on Monday held separate consultations with the Ambassadors of China and Germany at the latter’s official residence in Baluwatar, Kathmandu.
During the separate meetings, Chinese ambassador to Nepal Zheng Xianglin and German ambassador to Nepal Franz Erwin Ring congratulated PM Koirala for successful conduction of the constituent assembly (CA) polls.
According to reports, both ambassadors have expressed their concerns over the formation of new government and Nepal's political future. They have also assured PM Koirala of continued assistance from their countries for Nepal.
In the meeting with Chinese envoy Xianglin, PM Koirala extended well-wish for the success of Olympics due to be held in Beijing, China in August.
Chinese envoy Xianglin also reiterated his government's concern over possible obstruction by Tibetan exiles in the Olympic torch relay to Mt Everest, said reports.
It is learnt that the envoys discussed about the CA poll result, diplomatic relations and future assistance to Nepal, among other issues.
