Ministry of Labour and Transport Management has informed that the government will set up an Employment Permit System (EPS) office within a couple of weeks.
According to a report, after the establishment of EPS office, the government will initiate the process of sending Nepali workers to South Korea.
The report quoted Labour Minister Ramesh Lekhak as saying that aspiring Nepalis will get all the required information about jobs under the EPS system in Korea after the set up of the office.
Last month, Minister Lekhak had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the EPS with Korean Minister for Labor Lee Sang-Soo in Seoul.
The government will initiate the process of sending Nepali labourers to South Korea only after the two governments sign an Implementation Agreement (IA), which is scheduled to be signed in mid-September this year.
After the signing of IA, the government will finalize institutions to impart language and other skills trainings along with the types and curriculum of the trainings.
