Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) has suggested the government to form a task force to take initiative for minimizing the adverse impact of seven hours long load shedding to the business and industrial sector.
A delegation of FNCCI led by Second Vice President Kush Kumar Joshi met State Minister for Water Resources Gyanendra Bahadur Karki on Sunday and suggested to form a task force comprising representatives of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and FNCCI.
The delegation drew an attention of the State Minister Karki that the operation capacity of the industries was slipped by 25 to 40 percent due to the load shedding which have already been hit hard by the strike and protests.
The delegation had also informed that the industries would be obliged to cut the numbers of workers as 40 percent of the industries would not be operated in existing situation.
Similarly, the delegation also suggested the government to distribute fuel to the industries through operating diesel and multi fuel plant located at Hetauda and Biratnagar.
On the occasion, State Minister Karki had expressed commitment of taking initiative to solve the problem of industrial and business communities.
