Govt. reduces fuel price marginally

The government on Monday evening has made a marginal reduction in fuel prices.

According to the Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC), the petrol now onward will cost Rs 77 after reduction of Rs 3 per litre. Diesel and kerosene have gone down by Rs 2 and cooking gas by Rs 25. Diesel and kerosene will be Rs 57 while cooking gas will now cost Rs 1125 per cylinder, while Rs 5 has been reduced in aviation fuel price.

This is fourth time in a row that the government has reduced the price of fuel. Earlier, the petrol and diesel had ballooned up to Rs 100 and Rs 80 per litre, respectively.

The decision has come as per the government assurance to adjust the fuel prices in every 15 days.  The government by slashing the fuel price had made adjustment on Oct 25, Nov 01, and Dec 26 last year.
