PM extends greetings on New Year's Eve

Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala has extended best wishes to all on the occasion of New Year 2008.

While sending a message on the new year eve, Koirala said 2007 should be evaluated on the basis of achievements made throughout world and progresses made in abating poverty, disease, hunger, deprivation, and illiteracy and in protecting and promoting human rights by strengthening peace and understanding.

Meanwhile, Koirala has stressed that Nepal should fulfill the responsibilities that was left by 2007 in 2008.

"We are engaged in converting the country into new and prosperous Nepal by holding Constituent Assembly (CA) polls and strengthening democracy and by establishing sustainable peace in the country," said the PM.

"May the year 2008 become the year of unity, cooperation, understanding and peace and be able to disseminate happiness, peace and prosperity by liberating the world from all kinds of discrimination, disease, anomalies," the Prime Minister has prayed.
