RSF says Gyanendra and Prachanda no longer enemies of press

Reporters Without Borders (RSF), France based watchdog of press freedom, has removed the name of King Gyanendra and Maoist chairman Prachanda as the enemies of press freedom after the restoration of peace and democracy in Nepal.

A report which was published Thursday had stated that King Gyanendra and chairman Prachanda no longer remain the enemies of press freedom.

According to the report, 24 journalists were killed in this year. The report states that 124 journalists and 68 employees of communication house are in jail.

Likewise, RSF has said that 13 journalists are hostage throughout the world this year.

The report has stated that security forces, rebels and smugglers were responsible for the attack to the journalist in the world.

In 2007, Ajarbaijan and Laos are against the press freedom, the report of the organization states.
