Numbers of Maoist's arms dissatisfy Henrietta H. Fore

US Under Secretary of State for Management Henrietta H. Fore has reacted that the number of the arms of CPM-Maoist was dissatisfactory. H. Fore who is in Kathmandu for a two-day visit said on Saturday said that the Maoist registered the weapons of few numbers which was not satisfactory.

H. Fore said this to the journalists after conferring with Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala at his official residence Baluwatar Saturday morning.

H. Fore said that she talked about Terai movement, arms management of the Maoists, interim government and Constituent Assembly (CA) polls with Prime Minister.

She also informed that she suggested Premier Koirala to seek the solution of Terai movement through talks.  H. Fore also requested PM to strengthen security of American citizen in Nepal.

Emerging from the meeting, Foreign Affairs Advisor of PM, Dr. Suresh Chalise informed that the discussion was also centered on the rule of law, government's activities and Terai movement. According to Chalise PM Koirala said to H.Fore that Nepal would not be negative if Bhutanese refugee were ferried to Third countries as per their own wishes.

American Ambassador James. F. Moriarty has also accompanied H. Fore in the meeting.

H. Fore is the seniormost official of the US administration to visit Nepal since the April movement. She is responsible for the people, resources, facilities, technology, and security of the Department of State, and is principal advisor on management issues to the Secretary of State.

Meanwhile, PM Koirala is reported to have instructed Home Minister to manage the strong security of foreign officials and diplomats. Prime Minister did this after H. Fore shown her concerns about the security of American diplomats, officials and citizen in Nepal.

Chairman of CPN-Maoist Prachanda on Friday had said that his party would expose the plot of pro-palace forces to assassinate US officials posted in Nepal, very soon. Americans in Nepal have seriously observed the remarks made by Prachanda.
