India to provide Rs. 24.1 million

India is providing a grant of Rs. 24.1 million to Lalitpur Sub-Metropolitan City for the construction of buildings of Tulsi Lal Memorial Agricultural and Cooperative Training and Information Center in Lalitpur.

On behalf of the Ambassador of India, Counselor Shree Pranay Verma of the Indian Embassy laid the foundation stone for the library and administrative block of Tulsi Lal Memorial Agricultural and Cooperative Training and Information Center amid a function on Monday.
 
On the occasion, Verma reiterated the commitment of the Indian government to increasing development assistance to Nepal three-fold. The commitment was made during the prime minister's visit to India in June 2006.
 
According to a press release issued by the embassy, this grant is being provided under cooperation grant.
