Maoist in forefront to violate peace accord, says a report
Following the allegations to CPN-Maoist for not abiding by the rule of law and not following the comprehensive peace accord issued between the government and the Maoist, two human right organizations INHURED International and Population Watch has shown Maoist forefront in violating the comprehensive peace accord through their study report.
The study report made public in Butwal on Wednesday says that among the nine incidents happened in western region of Nepal during a month long period between 1st November-31st November 2007, the Maoist has violated the peace accord in seven incidents. Likewise, the Nepali Army is responsible for the violations of peace accord in two incidents.
Making public the report in Butwal, the headquarter of Rupandehi district, human right activist B.P Adhikari said both the government and the Maoist have not been serious to the peace accord. He however, appealed the concerned parties to respect the human right and to abide by the rule of law.
