Japan has provided medical equipments to Teaching Hospital worth 77 million Japanese Yen. The equipments include ultrasound, biochemistry analyzer, blood gas analyzer, a colposcopy, CO2 incubator, ELISA analyzer each, pulse oximeters (5), bedside monitors (5) among others.
This support was provided under Non - Project Grant Assistance scheme. Ambassador of Japan to Nepal, Tsutomu Hiraoka handed over the medical equipments amidst a ceremony on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, ambassador Hiraoka expressed his hope that the hospital would meet the high expectations of the people requiring therapeutic care through the utilization of those equipments.
The support for the construction and development of Teaching Hospital has been one of Japan’s biggest health care projects in Nepal in terms of the project scale, the press release issued by Japanese Embassy added.
