Banda called by Kapilvastu riots affected life in second consecutive day on Sunday. Due to banda, market places of the districts- Krishna Nagar, Chandrauta and Taulihawa have been shut down.
The victims of Kapilvastu violence called indefinite banda from yesterday. Irked locals have said that a commission formed to look into Terai violence has not yet reached to the sites.
The banda has hit hard to the travelers of east-west Mahendra highway. Due to the banda, highway along Kapilvastu has been deserted.

Meanwhile, banda called by Kishor Biswas faction of Madheshi Janaadhikar Forum (MJF) has also affected life in eastern Terai. All the academic institutions, shops and industries have been shut down. Highways and major roads have also been deserted.
