A committee comprising Constituent Assembly (CA) members and government officials has recommended the government to provide fifty percent concession to karnali people in air fair.
Recommendation committee coordinated by Ram Bahadur Bohara submitted a report to government recommending concession in air ticket.
The report incorporates short term and long term solutions to the problems of the people of Karnali region regarding air transportation.
Meanwhile, people from Karnali region today padlocked the main gate of Nepalgunj airport demanding concession in air ticket. The people have also padlocked the office of Buddha, yati and Sita Airlines leaving the flight to Kathmandu and remote districts of Karnali zone halted, said an official at Civil Aviation Authority Rajha.
At least 8 flights to remote districts and 4 flights to capital city Kathmanu take off daily from Nepalgunj.
Karnali Rights Coordination Committee Coordinator Narendra Nath Yogi said they were obliged to launched protest as the Airlines increased the fair without considering the concession in air ticket to the students and children.
