The Maoist has continued the collection of forceful donations from the transportation entrepreneurs in Karnali region.  The transportation entrepreneurs of Kalikot, a remote district of far western Nepal said the Maoists have been extorting money from the vehicles plying on Karnali highway.

The vehicle owners informed that the Maoists have threatened them to obstruct vehicular movement in the highway if at least five thousand rupees is not paid to them as donations.

Quoting the vehicle owners as saying, our correspondent said the letters have been received through the name of district Secretary of Kalikot. The Maoist said the fund would be collected to assist the people's move to the declaration of republic till the Constituent Assembly polls were held.
