Unidentified group attacks police posts in Khotang

Unidentified group attacked three police posts in Faktang, Chisapani and Devisthan in the southern part of the Khotang district.

According to reports, the group looted at least nine guns, hundreds of bullets, police uniforms, handcuffs and CDMA telephone sets. The two sides exchanged fire for more than half an hour in Chisapani and Devisthan. However, there are no reports of any casualties.

They attacked the Faktang posts at 6:30 pm, Chisapani post at 1:00 am and the Devisthan post early morning.

Additional forces have been deployed from the district headquarters for investigation.
