Private sector has no role in sending workers to Korea: Officials

Government has made it clear that there would be no role of private sector in sending workers to Korea for employment except operating Korean language courses. It has also cautioned interested candidates for Korean labor market not to pay the sum to the consultants and brokers.

'Private sector has no role in sending workers in Korea, the worker who is selected for employment should pay only up to Rs. 125000. Be alerted that brokers may demand higher sum, Secretary at the Ministry of Labor and Transport Management Shyam Prasad Mainali cautioned. He also said that the government would take action against those involving in fraudulent activities in the name of sending workers in Korea.

Speaking at face to face in Reporter's Club today, Secretary Mainali assured that process of selecting the workers would be fair.

On the same occasion, State Minister for Labor and Transport Management Ramesh Lekhak informed that the government was preparing to set new court to look into the cases related to foreign employment.
