Home Minister instructs police to beef up security

Stating that an entire nation was converging all the efforts in the elections, Home Minister Krishna Prasad Sitaula has instructed Nepal Police to beef up security situation targeting Constituent Assembly (CA) elections dated for 10 April.
 
Addressing convocation of basic training of police inspector in capital city today, minister Sitaula instructed police to manage the situation where people can go to the electoral booths without fear.
 
Appraising that responsibility of maintaining security situation was up to Nepal Police and Armed Police, minister Sitaula instructed police to control the incidents of violence persisting throughout the country.
 
On the occasion, Inspector General of Police Om Bikram Rana claimed that Nepal Police would be able to record a new history helping hold elections in peaceful manner.
