A pair of Nepal Army helicopters showered flower petals from the skies above Tundikhel where the various security forces staged a march past while various ethnic and indigenous groups paraded in traditional regalia.
The program was attended by Speaker of the Interim Legislature-Parliament, chief justice, ministers of the interim government, high-level government officials, heads of security agencies, representatives of the United Nations and envoys of various nations.
The statue of Bhim Sen Dahal, the first martyr claimed by the uprising was garlanded today amidst a function at Pokhara's Bhim Sen chowk attended by leaders and cadres of various political parties, government employees and students.
