Madhav Nepal to file nomination in Kathmandu 2, Prachanda in 6

Two major parties among ruling allies CPN-UML and CPN-Maoist have finalized the names of candidates for the Constituent Assembly (CA) elections for Kathmandu, Lalitpur and Bhaktapur.

UML is learnt to have forwarded name of secretary general Madhav Kumar Nepal to be nominated for constituency no. 2 in Kathmandu valley. Similarly the UML has forwarded names of Pradip Nepal, and Vidhya Devi Bhandari for constituency no. 1 and 3 respectively.

The UML has recommended Rameshwar Phuyal for  constituency no. 4, Ishwar Pokhrel for constituency no. 5, Bhanubhakta Dhakal for constituency no. 6, Rajendra Shrestha for constituency no. 7, Krishna Gopal Shrestha for constituency no. 8 and Ashta Laxmi Shakya for constituency no. 9. However, it is under discussion whom to nominate for constituency no. 10 between two Suman Shrestha and Ratna Maharjan.

Likewise, Siddhi Lal Singh and Raghu Jee Panta are learnt to have been recommended for constituency no. 2 and 3 respectively in Bhaktapur. Two  names Sushila Nepal and Madhusudan Paudel are learnt to have been under discussions. 

In Bhaktapur constituency no. 1, Ganesh Bahadur Khatri will file the candidacy.

CPN-Maoist has also finalized the names of nominees for three districts. Party chairman Prachanda will file candidacy for constituency no. 6 in Kathmandu while Ram Man Shrestha, Jhakku Subedi, Munu Humagain and Jeet Man Shakya have been selected for the nomination in constituency no. 1, 2, 3 and 4 respectively.

The Maoist is learnt to have finalized name of Hisila Yami for constituency no. 7 in Kathmandu. Similarly, Pampha Bhusal and Barsaman Pun Ananta will file nomination for constituency no. 1 and 3 respectively in Lalitpur district.
