CPN (UML) general secretary Madhav Kumar Nepal Friday said that his visit to India was a "grand success" in ascertaining India's support for Nepal's peace process.
Upon his arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Kathmandu from New Delhi, Nepal said that said that India wants to see strong eight-party unity to hold election to the constituent assembly in Nepal.
Indian leaders including PM Dr Manmohan Singh focused on the need to hold CA election in Nepal, he added. "The Indian government assured us to help in Nepal's peace process, CA polls and other development activities", Nepal said adding that the leaders asked us to strengthen eight-party unity.
Nepal also said that India wanted to see a CA poll that was held in a very free and fair manner.
According to Nepal, his team discussed with the Indian leaders about Bhutanese refugee problem, Pancheshowr Project and other bilateral issues.
